Perrin Collaborates With Local Artist on Label for New Release

Comstock Park, Mich. (July 20, 2021) Perrin Brewing Company announces the release of Summer Scene Imperial Fruit Ale (9% ABV). Part of the Side Hustle Series, Summer Scene will be available on draft and in 6-packs of 12 oz. cans at the Pub starting July 22, with statewide distribution to follow.

“Michigan’s fruit orchards burst to life in the summertime,” said Senior Marketing Manager Lindsey VanDenBoom. “In Summer Scene, our brewers captured the fresh, sun-ripened flavor of Michigan-grown fruit.”

This robust fruit ale shines with flavors of plum, apricot and blueberries. The juicy berry and stonefruit influences inspired local contemporary landscape artist Randi Ford to create the original painting of a Michigan sunset, in fruit-inspired colors, that appears on cans of Summer Scene.

Ford is known for evoking the spirit of nature in her colorful, flowing paintings. “With the repetition of lines and strokes, it creates a visual sense of music,” she explained. Perrin works to partner with local artists like Ford through the Craftsmanship Series – a video series that celebrates all things Michigan-made.
